Refunds & Cancelations Policy
It is important for us that all teachers and learners have a positive experience at The Hobby Story. Please go through these policies to understand how and when you can request a refund. Please reach out to our team on info@thehobbystory.com in case of any queries.
Learner Requests
Refunds and cancelations are governed by the below conditions

Instructor/Teacher Cancellations or Reschedules:
In the following situations, parents can get a full refund:
- Parents receive a full refund if the teacher cancels the batch in advance of the class’s first session.
- If a teacher changes the date or time of any of the sessions of the course, before the class’s first session’s start date, parents may request a full refund or request a transfer to an upcoming batch.
- In case of a one-time class, if a teacher misses the class – parents can request a full refund or request a transfer to an upcoming batch.
In the following situations, parents can ask for a prorated refund based on the number of classes in your batch.
- If the teacher cancels part of the class in progress, parents will receive a prorated refund for the number of classes canceled.
- If a teacher teaches fewer classes than promised, parents can request a refund for missing classes.
No Refunds:
- If a learner misses a part of the class, they are not entitled to a refund. They can request a transfer to an upcoming batch or request a recording at the teacher’s discretion. But no refund will be done for the missed class.
Additional Policies:
- A refund can be issued to the original form of payment used
- In rare cases, parents requesting excessive refunds may be disqualified from receiving future refunds.
- A parent can request a transfer in case they are unable to attend the rest of the classes with the current batch and the teacher has an upcoming batch.
